20 Sep Spring Style: Tips For Mamas
Spring has sprung and with it, gorgeous new spring style trends for mamas and babies to swoon over. We’ve rounded up our picks of the most gorgeous nursery décor, eco baby clothes and mama style, as well as the best spring flowers to give your home a blooming beautiful lift!
Preparing for a baby is very exciting and creating the perfect nursery is no exception! Here are some key trends to consider when styling your little one’s bedroom.
Those who love a minimalist vibe will be happy to know that Scandi styling is still super-popular in baby nurseries, as is sweet, boho ambience. Think blonde wood, earthy tones, natural fibres and rattan. Oh, the rattan! Don’t forget to check your local thrift store for rattan furniture bargains.
Wanting a little more colour? Currently featuring in nursery trends is the use of wallpaper and wall decals. Consider over-sized floral displays or quirky cactus wallpaper to instantly transform the space.
And for those short on room, nursery nooks set up in the master bedroom are a lovely way to create a space just for baby. These nooks can blend seamlessly by matching the current aesthetic of your bedroom with the décor you choose for bub. This works especially well with Scandi styling.

Beautiful Eco Baby Clothes
The trend towards beautifully crafted baby clothes made from natural, organic materials continues this spring with more and more parents thinking carefully about the purchases they make.
If you love those muted, earth tones we’ve been seeing so much of, you’ll be happy to know they’re still huge. Mustard, olive and copper all feature in the new season Jamie Kay. At Hux Baby, super-soft organic cotton baby rompers come in blush pink and soft greys.

Spring Fashion, Mama Style
We’re drawing inspiration from our favourite Insta mamas this spring, who are embracing feminine style that’s practical, too. Auguste The Label is all about floaty floral dresses that give a nod to the 90s. Organic linen shirts from The Label Rose keep mamas cool as well as being convenient for nursing. We love their jumpsuits, too.
And keep an eye out for shades of purple. Yes, lavender is having a moment after Pantone named 18-3838 Ultra Violet, a blue-based purple, Colour of the Year.
If you’re finding it tricky to get out of the house to shop (and forget about trying things on with a baby in tow!) consider online stores like The Iconic which offer free returns. Try things on in the comfort and convenience of your own home and then ship back anything that doesn’t quite work – genius!
If you’re dressing a baby bump this spring, you’ll love Bae, The Label. With gorgeously feminine clothes made from luxe fabrics and cut perfectly to accommodate a growing belly, this is maternity wear that makes mamas-to-be look and feel great. Their designs for nursing mums are beautiful and functional, too.

Best Spring Flowers
No spring is ever complete without some fresh blooms to brighten a space! Look out for peonies, orchids, Lily of the Valley and David Austin roses which are all in season at this time of year. Also consider the trend towards longer-lasting floral arrangements featuring native foliage and succulents.
